Welcome to the World, Evelyn

The rituals of birth are handed down from generation to generation. Hospital birthing has changed the way women birth, but there are still opportunities for the perfect birth within the walls of a hospital. Spahr and I are the same in that we researched and ascribed to principles of hypnobirthing. The idea is the creation of a peaceful environment within which to bring your child into this world. Prior to her birth Spahr and I discussed what support I could offer, when and how she would want me to step back, and phrases that would be helpful to her during her labor and delivery. She and Dakota laughed and joked through the process and when she entered transition and labor was more difficult he held her hand and never left her side. I was honored to serve her in this sacred space to help her and Dakota bring sweet Evelyn earthside.
