Fawkes | The Earthside Phoenix

Meredith is someone I look up to greatly. She is a force of a nature, and we bond on a level that reaches outside of this Earth. I’m sure our spirits were born of the same realm or that we share atoms that were once of the same star. Meredith planned to birth at home as she had done before. She is smart, quick on feet and the most caring spirit I know.

I take being in the birthing space of any woman as the highest honor but especially for Meredith I wanted to allow her to create the space she needed and for myself to find my proper place within her realm. We did just that even though plans quickly changed and were out of her control. Meredith went from having everything in her control to learning to let go in peace and love for what her baby needed. Meredith gave birth to the most beautiful boy named Fawkes, signifying her transformation through her maternity and birthing experience. Each birth teaches us more about our strength, our resilience… Birth humbles us, and creates the opportunity to learn more self love and acceptance.
